im planning to buy a new bass and being the GAS addict as i am i really want an oplympic white 4 string jazz with all that shinny chrome pickup and bridge guards !!! but only thing i dont like about jazz is the neck :\ so i was thinking of getting a custom made neck ( warmoth.com ) ( if its not good give me a site that also will ship necks internationaly ), i really like necks with block inlays and some white binding if its rosewood ( which i want it to be ) now the body.. im not sure.. im looking at an MIM ( i think ) it says standard jazz bass which i think is MIM or an American jazz which is nearly twice the price.. whats the difference? and would it make that much difference its just the body . what wood does the body of an MIM use and a MIA? and pickups i havent really chose yet. i just want a really strong and distinct jazz sound.. like something that every bassist can already know its a jazz...
