Custom Shop on Headstock
I'm looking at a Precision neck, and it says "Custom Shop" on the back on the headstock (I haven't seen it yet, so I'm not sure if it has the custom shop logo on it or just the words). I seem to recall Fender putting that on some basses (maybe reissues?) that weren't really custom shop basses. Can anyone clue me in?
Anyone can buy a custom shop or vintage bass logo decal, including bogus serial number on the internet. Do your homework before buying.
I plan plan on it. Thanks!
Another good advice by hsech
Sometimes Custom Shop is engraved on heelplate and it's the case with Reissue or Special Run models
A mark on back of the headstock should be the right place for it to be found on an orignal CS item
That's why hsech is right
Everybody knows about that, so pay good attention to fakes!
