CV 60's PBass comparable to...?

Sign in to disble this ad
i love love love the neck and just the whole package of the CV 60's P bass...

i have it strung with TI flats...want to get another bass for rounds...what other P bass is comparable in feel to the amazing awesome fast neck of the CV 60's P Bass? i know i could get another...but, if there is another bass, Fender or whatever...what P bass has that kinda fast P bass neck? it feels so good!!!

help...doesn't need to be like super expensive, but not some hack job cheap-o bass either unless there's one out there that is recommended or gets the job done for what i'm asking...man, this bass is outstanding as far as feel! want another P Bass with a neck similar to it...if possible...

Lakland Skyline 44-64 has a great, thin, fast neck, like the CV does. It's better than the CV in every respect, though.

American Specials have a thin neck.

the geddy and the american special necks don't feel like the squier at all. if you want a p that feels like the CV 60's p bass just get another one. Just get the other color this time.

This man is correct. The CV is thin, but has a rounder neck, where the Geddy/ Specials are thin and very flat.

The classic vibe p bass has 1.625 nut width, 9.5 radius, vintage style frets, and a gloss on the back of the neck, wich seems to be a rather unique combo of specs on a neck. If you want these specs on a high end bass give Dan Atkinson an email.

great advice, thanks to all...i'm not looking to spend a fortune on great tone, i'm sure it can be had without spending an arse load of cash...right? i mean, there are some great basses with fast necks out there that are of the P Bass variety and family, yes?

is the neck on the CV 60's only unique to this model or is it based on a real 60's P bass neck, or just a take on it...?

Warmoth might be able to help, but it might come out at around $800 or more.

How about the Matt Freeman sig P bass from Squier - basically a CV 60s P (same neck specs in terms of nut, radius etc) but with a maple board and you can have black or white finish.....

played a 62 reissue the other night that was similar in my opinion. I have a CV60 P bass - and the setup was really similar. the 62 RI was also very light - like the Basswood body of my Squier. I wish I had it with me that night for a more realistic comparison - it was wide, thin and flatish - like the squier.
