D string buzz

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

Ok, so I've done that forum search thing and found a few helpful ideas but nothing that really pin points on my problem. I have a Squier VM jazz and as far as I can tell the set up is ok, not perfect, but good. All the strings sound great except for the D string. It buzzes open and buzzes on the first two frets, but the third on down sound perfect. I've played around with the bridge and the nut looks fine and the tuning key seems to be nice and tight...so...what am I missing? Thanks.

You might try raising the action on that string a little and see if the buzz goes away.
