Dean Hillsboro Jr vs. SX Ursa 3 JR

You only have $150 to spend. These are your best candidates so far. Which one do you prefer?

The Dean is said to be of the same quality as a Squier Mustang, and is currently on sale for under $140 shipped. The quality of the SX is?

Ugh...Dean. Haven't had a good experience with one yet. The SX basses deliver incredible bang for the buck, and there are threads on TB singing their praises. Like anything else, it's possible to get a lemon SX, but by and large folks seem to love them.

Having owned several SX and Douglas basses, I am aware of their general quality, being as varied as the Squier lineup.

The Hillsboro Jr is by all accounts a higher quality competitor of the Bronco.

Let us know if you take the plunge with that Dean.
That's one short scale I don't know anything about.
Looks interesting.
