The metalics and bursts don't count?

Leave it to us to take a thread about red colors and turn it into an argument over black ones. Way. To. Go.

We're always good for a derail or ten.

The page above does not include one of my favorites, Morocco Red.
What a cool link! Thanks for posting that, and thanks to whomever compiled it and put it on the web.
Real props to those who do that kind of thing.

Couldn't find TV Yellow, a finish that interests me.

And to the OP- No issues w/ Fender having their stockpile of Red finishes IMO!

TV yellow is a Gibson finish.

But you can't really get dozens of black hues now can you. Count up the grays and add them in.

I'm sorta sick of red, too! Could dig a yellow one, but it would have to be THE RIGHT yellow. Same for green. Don't like green unless it's the RIGHT GREEN.
I STILL do not understand what the big deal is as far as color offerings from guitar makers. Yeah, I know it costs money to reload for a run, but look what Fender did for Guitar Center with that Honeyburst. That was kinda cool.

Oh. My answer? 2 AT THE MOST!

According to Google there are 285 shades of red distinctly visible to the human eye, so I think that Fender has some work to do...

There was a Sahara Taupe back in the day.

My 2011 American Standard 5'er is Candy Cola. Love it. Didn't buy it because of that, though. I bought it because it was the best player and the color had nothing to do with it.

It is pretty cool looking.

They need to throw these 3 sparkle finishes on the bass line. I'd buy one of each.

I haven't seen Mystic Red in the flesh...can anyone give a good description of it? Compared to other known commodities of red?
