Diggin my Warwick Rockbass $$ lately
Put new DR Flat wounds on it about a month ago. Really liking it more and more. Just wish I would have bought the fiver instead of the four banger. But thankfully I have my FNA Jazzman for my five string stuff. Anyway, my $$ is getting lots of playing time at smaller shows with one of the bands, and it is as solid as they come. Very rarely do I even have to tune it, and with the flat wounds, it's tone is about the thickest sounding bass tone I've ever heard.
I am loving mine as well. I just picked one up recently here on TB, a fretless German-made $$, and after I set it up how I like it (nice & low) it hammers. I've got TI flats on mine, and with the newer, thinner neck (mine's a 2010) it plays itself and sounds enormous. I haven't played it out yet, but am eagerly looking forward to doing so.
Play the heck out of that thing!
Got the RB Streamer 5er on a whim, as I've never owned a 5 before. HUGE sound on this on as well, even with the stock rounds. Initial playability was pretty good, but a $45 setup 'n level pushed it over the top. The RB series is not considered to be "cool," but is truly astounding for a mass-produced, under $1k bass. Seriously underrated in my book:) I still prefer four-bangers, though. If you were in my general vicinity I'd consider swapping.
