Sheldon takes the best pictures! The black backdrop and black reflective foreground just make the basses float in a glow of light. Tack sharp and perfectly dialed exposures.
The attention to detail is just what you would expect. A portrait that shows off the personality of each creation.
I use a group of photos of my Super J as a screen saver.

I'm off to locate a drill bit and tap for the mounting screws.
I will report back later!

I'll get a full test drive tomorrow through the fEarful rig.
This kind of surgery can be stressful, but we made it through the scary soldering part with only minor cuts and burns.
Post op Rx, a nice scotch on the rocks. Glenkinchie!
Before and after pictures!
The white pearl motif is kind of retro.

Any chance of some audio clips?

| | Yeah, I've been registered here awhile... ;-D | | Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Ashland, MO | | Singlemalt, I find it impossible to pick a favorite. Baltic Amber is great (I have one on my Bronze Age PJ-4) but the pearl does work well with the natural-grained goodness on yours! The Super PJ-5 is about the only instrument able to instill the slightest symptoms of DAS for me, though I took a step that damped that potential flame the other night. I installed (with nary a burn ) one of the new P-tone FD-3 pickups in the neck position on my AB1-5. I've only been playing it for two evenings, but IMO, Sheldon nailed it good with that big old tone hammer of his.
SpecialBlender - these are available for Combustions, too. Sorry, I don't have any sound clips.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Portland | | | Hey guys,
Prospective owner here. I was in Seattle at Bass NW a few weeks ago, and tried a 4 string Super J. Now I have the bug for a Combustion or ABZ in 5 or 6 string config. The issue is that I've not tried the longer scale necks and I would hate to shell out that sort of dough for a bass I didn't really love, so I was wondering if there were any owners within a few hundred miles of North Idaho that would let me plunk around on your Dingwall. I'd be more than willing to bring a six-pack for your time.
I'm located in Moscow, ID, but would be willing to drive 200 miles or so to jam out. Is there anyone around who could help me out?
