Happy Anniverary. That's got to be a pretty rare bass. PRS hasnt exactly done a ton of basses and that done in 86!

Ding (Wall) ! Ding (Wall) ! Ding (Wall) !

I am officially the proud owner of a Dingwall Super J5 (passive) in ash (clear finish) with the Morado fingerboard. The board sets off the baltic amber pickguard nicely.

My diabolical plan is to convert it to PJ.

Shipping today and should be here Thursday.

Weeeeeeeee !

I'll take some pics when she arrives.

Huge thanks again to everyone for the assistance.

I will apologize in advance for any additional questions that I may have.

A fiver sir ! To buy a four would be like leaving 3 pieces of uneaten bacon on your breakfast plate.

Corrected the alder to read correctly for ash.

I have to respectfully disagree. I LOVE my 4 string Z2 and if I could only keep one of my three Dingwalls, two of which are fivers, I would be hard-pressed to let go of my Z2-4! It plays like buttah!

+1 Two of my three Dingwalls are 4-strings, and I just love 'em!

Well it sounds to me like you're disrespectfully disagreeing.

All kidding aside, a four was not an option for me as I sold my one and only fiver.

Amen, Tom! Sheldon's 4 string basses are vastly underrated IMHO. There is a prevailing opinion that fanned frets are really only beneficial to a low B. I think the E string on my Z2 is just as killer as my low B on either of my fivers.

I have one more Dingwall I need to purchase, and that is a 4 string Super P. Then I will have two fours and two fives, and I will be very happy!

Nah, if I was disrespectfully disagreeing, I would have said something along the lines of "Zoomie, you ignorant slut......"

Of course, I do love my fivers as well! Bass playa got to have a fiver in his arsenal, true dat!

Time flies, eh? Great pic! He looked very comfortable with that bass in his hands. Looks like a floating thumb right hand technique he was sporting. I approve!!

Hahahaha ! "I'm Gumby Dammit ! And I play a fiver !"
So glad that everyone here has a sense of humor.

Thanks to you and Tom for mentioning that the E's kill on the fours. Good to know go-forward.

Received my Fed X tracking number this evening. Scheduled for Thursday delivery. It's going to be a painfully long 48 hours.

I am just praying that since this is clear coated, that I get a good looking piece of ash. I can't imagine Sheldon using crappy wood floor plank but I will still stress until it gets here.

On a positive note, box is factory sealed so no 13 year old has used it to slap through Smoke On The Water.

No stress, buddy - only Northern ash with cool grain! You'll have to excuse mine, it fell into a vat of blueberries...

Thanks, man. If Sheldon has ever made an ugly guitar, he didn't let it out of the shop!
