It's a good thing too, because I was worried there weren't enough Fender copies out there.

Joe Murray 01-26-2013 06:13 PM

Very interesting, indeed. I'll be on the lookout for these.

Templar 01-26-2013 06:15 PM

Huh. Intrigued.

Joe Murray 01-26-2013 06:15 PM

I hope he continues on that Darryl Jones design.

Chatdawg 01-26-2013 06:19 PM

I'm guessing they will be a tad on the expensive side.

bikeplate 01-26-2013 07:17 PM

interesting.... I remember when I used to get his newsletter back in the 90's. one of them had a little blurb about his new Lakland bass. it would have bartolinis and cost 1400 bucks!!! way too expensive.

I wonder if these DLB's will be just as expensive.

If they're made in the US. But maybe he's going for an import lineup similar to what Reverend does. Dunno, just speculation on my part.

Munjibunga 01-26-2013 08:53 PM

I hope he's more successful at his rebirth than David Nordschow was.

TolerancEJ 01-26-2013 08:58 PM

I wish Dan the best and hope it works out. It'd be a great benefit for him and us.

You said "was" which implies DNA is no longer in business? I thought I saw a pic or two from NAMM?

I think he is implying that he isn't doing quite the business people would have expected from the guy that started Eden. Not a big splash when he came back.

Pic or two of what, and where? Try finding anything new about DNA on the internet. I'll look for his stuff at NAMM tomorrow, but he doesn't have a booth. He shared space with Koch last year. So far his amp is vaporware.

TN WOODMAN 01-26-2013 09:14 PM

The Indonesian factory that makes the Skylines is already in place, so...

Yeah, it was hard enough to find the website even using Google and the updates look rather sparse.

Sorry for the derail.
