I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

If you're going to have a sticker, this would be the one to have!

wow...then what would you do with an old Moon sponsorship jacket? ( they used to give out navy blue jackets, with the eyes, and yellow and white stripes down the left front, to racers they sponsored). IF I remember right, mine is missing a button on the left sleeve. I am left handed, so that is the sleeve that always got snagged.
I may still have a stack of those old stickers, somewhere, as well.

That's a great piece of nostalgia Lee! If I came across that jacket i'd probably hang it on the wall because it wouldn't fit me. Haha!

If you ever come across those stickers let me know, i'd love to get a few. I think to come by most of the Moon stuff is "car show only." But I could be wrong, i'm young compared to when Moon was popular with hot rodders. But in my lifetime i'd only see there stuff with my dad at car shows.

Flea-Red Hot Chili Peppers
The bassist from the clash (I'm having a brain fart)
John Entwistle- The Who (He did have spider stickers on at least one of his basses, not painted on graphics but stickers)
Hank WIlliams III
The list of famous people that use stickers goes on and on...
Hmm... Green Day and Rancid. Off to a bad start. You're not really making your point with phony punk guys like that. I have a thing for remembering when famous musicians say things to make themselves stupid. The bass player from Green Day said a long time ago that he needs super-heavy strings or he breaks them. I have never broken a string, so I have to assume that he's doing it wrong. That is confirmed when I am forced to listen to them.

It's not that I hate punk. I love punk. But there is no punk anymore. Unless you were there in the 80's, you're not punk. It was a time in history as much as a style of music. That's why they call modern classical music "neo-classical", since Mozart is dead. So all these snotty-vocals guys that play like they are trying to start their lawn mowers are not punk.

This could probably be it's own discussion, but punk is Misfits and Black Flag, not Blink 182 and Avril Lavigne. That's a fundamental truth of the universe, as far as I'm concerned. I give you kids a pass because you don't have any life experience yet. I recommend anyone who would argue the other way to listen to the wisdom of Henry Rollins for a while and put Walk Among Us on repeat.

Its all in the application, very few on in this thread are done tastefully but even the trashy ones are still fun, would i do it on my Basses, no? Although on my past basses i have had some strategically placed stickers.

mine would be extra large. I really should have 2XL, do to sleeve length, but I used to turn the sleeves up a roll or two anyway
Back then, tuning between runs was not done via laptop. You had the hood off, and were always tinkering with the blower belt, carbs, or the mag

I had a million stickers on my first bass, it was some ESP LTD something or other, took them all off when I sold it. The current bass has one sticker on it and I love it.

and go for it if it's a cheap bass. i put one quarter sized bastard skull on one and then spray painted a north carolina stencil on another, and purchased both for under $100.
