do you love it or hate it?!!

i need help and it's messing up my day, so far! i was browsing the local CL county by county when this pops up.

http://monterey.craigslist.org/msg/3335607870.html

would any of you be interested in a beast like this. i could understand doing something like that to a Standard, but why an AV75RI?

i kind of,... want to,... love it!!! yet,... i'm sure i'd end up just trying to part it out to get my money back. i do admire the adventure spirit in this guy, though!

opinions, feelings, thoughts?

It doesn't do anything for me.

But that is a good deal. If you dig it, go for it.

That's a killer deal! You could recoup a large chunk of the price if you sold the East pre on its own, too!

What's wrong with THAT?

(Oh, yeah... the old "if I change any part of a Fender, I'll never make a million bucks on it when it becomes rare and collectable later " syndrome.)

Buy it...play it...enjoy it!

I honestly would of loved it more if he did not mod it, I don't like modded basses personally. However if you love it go for it.

Wow, that thing is a looker! If the tricked out electronics are installed and work with the pickups, it could be good sounding tricked out J Bass that would look great on anyone's stage. And it looks well cared for and comes with a case too.

I'd say, if you're on the market for an inexpensive J Bass, help this guy get his camera!

yeah, the price IS the x-factor for sure. my son just ordered a Steinberger Synapse just to compare to my original. it will be here Tuesday and if he doesn't fall inlove with it, we might jump on this Fender out of sheer curiosity.

there are a couple of other great deals we've been pondering, so i haven't called the guy yet.

@M.R. Ogle,... i LOL'd!

I'm not into it, but at least the guy didn't list the cost of each mod separately and then deduct $100 (you know, because it's used) to determine his asking price.

The "P" p'up likely won't sound very Precision-like.. The original p'up position was chosen because of the string harmonics it is perched under (tho makes more of a difference with the single coil p'up)...

Personally, I'd prefer an added "neck position" p'up, a P in the middle (or "sweet spot"), and the J in the bridge position. That would cover more sonic ground... Just sayin'

That fender won't last long at that price. I wouldn't wait until Tuesday.
