Then, when I play my P or Spector, I think, "My left hand seriously missed a big chunk of wood".
So, I have no preference. What's yours?

| | | | I like slimmer necks. My Hondo II has the slimmest neck of all the basses I own, and it feels the most comfortable. I can play it for hours without any cramping. My bronze series Warlock's neck feels too chunky and really hurts to play even after 15 minutes. My neck through NJ series Warlock is slightly thicker than the Hondo's and it's comfortable, but still cramps every now and then around the hour and half mark. |

For guitars, thin, but not too thin. Those Wizard contour Ibanezes are ridiculous. |

But I also have an MIM Fender Deluxe Zone, which has a super-skinny Jazz neck, and whenever I play that one, it just feels like I'm home.

Saying that, i love a 5 string. Must be the string spacing.
