EB2 Clones from east Europe (Bachmusik)

These will be available in both short and standard long scale!!! Price range for the Bach basses is low, in the Squier/VM area, despite the overall good build quality (check their site) so if you want an EB2D but don't want to spend a fortune...

(No: I am not an endorser or have any advantage; just received these pics as a "sneak preview")

There's no US distributor. I like a lot of their basses, but how could I ever buy one?

TBer basvarken (Rob) is the Dutch distributor for BaCH, he can ship to the U.S., just PM him. I purchased two BaCH Non Reverse Thunderbirds thru him, flawless transactions!

Cool. Are they decent basses. They're very cheap.

Must admit, I'm very interested. I just got a new job as well... Avezzano, any idea when these are going to be available?

unluckily no! I asked to the man himself but he did not say anything specific but just that they will be available soon and the bridge will be slightly different from the proto. Nothing more than this. But you can ask yourself, since they have a "contact" e-mail address on their site. Anybody knowing better, please notify here! I plan to buy one soon as they get on the market. Drooling for a natural or sunburst EB2D...

Dang that black Rick clone with the maple fingerboard is sexy! And I like the upper sculpting on the body; not quite in the right place but better than the flat top binding (for me that is)

Edit: JohnK's review of a Bach TBird isn't very encouraging: http://johnkvintageguitars.homestead...CH-T-Bird.html

I'm looking around for an EB-2 like hollow body and after seeing this, I'm in love and the GAS is kicking in lol. How much would these cost in US dollars? My Dad is thinking about getting me an EB-2 like bass for christmas and it's hard to find one reasonably priced
Hopefully these will be released around the holidays!

Just went through their site, and I must say that only one bass didn't appeal to me (the Ibby SR lookalike. I'm not a fan of the look). All those basses look fabulous!

As for the EB2 clone, WANT.

try to send a couple of lines to Bachmusik yourself and see what they say. I don't want to insist too much myself, but I am anxiously waiting, too, since I know they build good axes with an excellent Q/P ratio!!!

I emailed them on Monday (bachmusik@bachmusik.com) with a few questions I was curious about. I hope I get a response soon...I'm anxious to know if I can grab one of these before it's too late! lol

I wasn't sure if they would be for a limited run, so that's why I put too late lol. If they do, I'll be more then happy to share my answers with everyone

The hollowbodies look great for the $$$.

If I didn't just order a new Gibson Midtown, I would be interested.

for a 3/400$ axe? No way! At that cost per unit:

1) made in China (probably, or something like that)

2) only big sale numbers, necessary to re-enter from the money spent on the project and to get some form of profit!!!!!!

My two cents... V.

Yeah, John's review, plus the cost of shipping/importing has convinced me not to buy one of these.
