It depends on the expectations. I am ready to swap the pickups if they don't sound ok and to have a proper fretboard touch up if needed; but my experience with other chinese axes I bought on 2007 (Dean Stylist) and Eastwood classic 4 bought last year had me impressed positively about the overall quality for hollowbodies 320 euro in my town shop (Dean) and 500 euro from Usa including shipping and taxes at customs (Classic 4) axes.
On the Dean I swapped the pickups but just for pure fun, while I did not touch at all the Classic 4... Read the entry by NURZE

Very cheap prices for those of us in the UK with our strong pound (at the moment). Have a look at the 'crocodile' cases - gorgeous. Interesting site...may not be the best quality but look nicely finished. The lefty tele-style butterscotch is calling to me at 165 quid! Somebody will start importing these and selling at double the price, I suspect. |

I've tried some B&CH basses in the past, and yes: you can't deny it's a budget bass, but they're big bang for the buck (up par with squiers that cost 2/300€ more), and are perfect modding platforms, as the woodwork is really fine (just the harware and electronics are a bit cheap)

I'm still hoping that these basses will be ready sometime before Christmas or maybe a short time after New Years. Starting to save my pennies lol. |

My two cents... V. | 1) Not so. BaCH makes these in the Czech Republic. Only the hardware is made in Korea, to their specs.
2) Models change often. They make limited runs of a particular style, then go on to another. E.g., the Sandberg-inspired Preci-Jazz models (reverse P + MM type pickups) are no longer made.
I own a BacH P51-5. Timberwise, it's very well built - I've found no fault with it. It's lacking in shielding, but hey, I was going to mod it anyway.

In the same shop were I bought it, latest model available of the P/MM is still black body with tortoise pickguard and maple fingerboard.
They're cheap and sound very very good, but finishings are for absolute beginners. Furthermore: italian dealer, "NoizeWood", sells all over Europe: whether they're worth the total effort, street price + shipping fees, is yet to be checked out...
For the US I just can't express more consideration from your hypothetical final price for such a bohemian industry product
Cheers,
Wallace
