I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, for the simple reason that things are so much simpler when they grant same to me. The neck plate dated the instrument as that vintage. He's a flea market not an instrument dealer. |

EDIT: so another thread along these lines has popped up in the last few minutes, and the bass doesn't look suspicious at all to these eyes, so I hope there's more to learn.
