EBMM USA SUB question

Do the passive SUBS also have the battery cavity installed?

nope.

and if you're thinking about getting one and putting in an active pre I don't think any will fit with the battery under the control plate.

Great recording basses. No excess junk in the signal path, straight Stingray pickup output.

Well, then I got one here with a problem. Guitar player had one laying around that someone left at his daughter's apt and he lent it to me. Tweaked the setup on it, plugged it in and extremely low output, sounds like hell. No battery. Put one in, no change. Any guesses?

Guess it needs the electronics looked at. Thanks, guys.

i doesnt take much to just open it up and see if all the wires are connected, and connected correctly. Ernie ball will supply you with a wiring diagram if you need it. hell, you might be able to find it online somewhere.
Look at the preamp under the control plate and make sure nothing is broken or loose.

Just a thought. Make sure the contacts on the battery compartment are making good solid contact with the battery. You might have to bend them up slightly.
