Just finished rewiring my Epi T-Bird Pro. Ripped out the active pre and wired it up passive. It's wired Les Paul style v/t v/t with 500k pots & .047 caps. Pretty different! I much prefer the passive. What do you think?
Passive is better because there is more midrange 500hz-1000hz. The action sounds higher [cleaner] on the A string and the E string. Maybe raise the D and G strings?
Wiring diagram would be good
damn good basses though
pity they didn,t do this with pro classic and used the same bridge.
Wiring was nothing special. Followed the Les Paul v/t v/t diagram but without the switch. Did something wrong though... Each volume control is not independent from the other. For there to be any noise, both of them have to be at least a little bit up. Not sure what happened there.

You did nothing wrong, that is the way that paticular wiring diagram operates; a Gibson Les Paul does the same thing (I'm 99% sure, don't have an L.P. around at the moment).
