This beauty just arrived today. Sounds amazing, although the round wound strings are ripping up my sensitive fingers Gonna drop some half rounds on her soon. Love the tone, though, and the fit and finish are great for such a cheap bass.
Anyways, the PO's pic, my Allen Woody Rumblekat with crazy figured wood . . .

Red one is a 2006, modified with a 0.033uF Orange Drop, CTS volume pot, a DIY (and a big hassle) ebony thumbrest, new knobs and a set of Dean Markley SR2000s, 47-107.
Black one is a 2005 (best year IMO), Allparts thumbrest and bridge cover, 40-95 Chromes.
Both are amazing. Astounded they discontinued these.

How about, if no one intervenes in a week, I'll go at it.

The 5 started acting up. The show must go on and all... tuned the little sucker down to ADGC. Used a Behringer bass DI pedal to cut the mids and it does a decent Fieldy impression. It would be funny if it wasn't for the sad part. The guys prefer it to the 5 string, which cost 20X what the Epi did.
