ESP LTD D-5 pup swap?

Sign in to disble this ad
My esp has the esp sb-5 pups in it from the factory, not sure if they are active or not. It does have a 3 band active eq. I want better pups but not sure what works well with the esp or what would fit properly, any ideas?

Check the usual websites such as Bartolini or Norstrand and see if they have your dimensions. Active pups will have more than two wires. Aero Instrument will make anything you want, and their pickups are awesome.

Looking at it straight off, your best bet would be EMG's 35DC/40DC or Seymour Duncan's Phase I/II pickups but Phase I in your case as its active.
