ESP LTD D-6

So, I've played four string basses for a bit over 3 years now, and I really want a six string bass. Why? I don't know, they look cool and I like the necks. I don't really like 5 string basses, though. Their necks are uncomfortable..

Anyway, I've searched here for reviews of the ESP LTD D-6, but found two on here, which really didn't say much, and was wondering if it's good quality for someone's first six string bass that isn't crazy expensive (Nothing over $600 at the max). Are the pickups weak or anything like that and is the hardware bad? I've heard it's heavy, but that's alright.

It's a really excellent bass. Mine feels like a $1000+ bass, and sounds about that good too. Also, the neck is extremely comfortable for a sixer. If you think five string necks are uncomfortable I don't know how you can like six string necks, but this things got a great one.

I don't know why. I've tried a Sadowsky Metro, I didn't like the neck, I've tried cheap ones, I've tried a lot.. There isn't a five string I like. But I like six strings..

Esp makes solid Basses. Just be prepared to purchase a new B string, the LTD series basses have a very sloppy B string. If you play metal then it's no biggy but it's not great for other styles.
