ESP LTD D-6 deal?

Hi all, im new of this forum, but ive been playing bass for 1 year, i have an ibanez SR which has a great tone but some fret-buzz problems, i play jazz and funky, so i decided to swich to 6 string basses, i found this ESP which is neckthru and has a very amazing shape and looks, anyone has tried it??(i need to hear about: impressions, tone, feel...) thanks to all

Why don't you get a good setup done on your bass first....it is a solid bass.

The ESP basses are good in general, so you will not make a mistake. They do look good as well, as you noticed. Why don't you try and play an ESP through two different decent rigs and make sure you can dial in the sound you like. Even if only playing for a year, you have definitely got preferences already.

Also, check string spacing on the ESP, narrow spacing could impair your style of music. Ibanez generally has a wider string spacing, which helps.

Well ironically Ive checked into this exact bass myself recently, I hear good things about it... the kind of body wood is some wierd decendent of mohogany but other than that it seems like a good entry level into the 6 string realm.
