The body, neck, neck joint contour, feel of the body, shape, headstock, were all awsome. I personally hate EMG HZ pups and the pre amp is garbage IMHO. It sounds ok mind you. But upgrading to real EMG's and a different pre would take it to another level entirely.

Noisy,to dark or to trebly sounding.
If you are prepared to change electronic go for this bass and you will get semipro bass.
If you wont change electronic you will still have good, well made, nice looking bass.
This bass was better when I played it than my Fender jazz bass deluxe MIA in 1997

Thanks for your help | I have owned one for a few months now and I absolutley love it. Feels great as soon as you pick it up, it looks superb with the through-neck and natural finish (if thats what you're into mind you ) Cut and balalnce of the body is great and it has sustain for miles. Built quality is execptional, I couldn't fault mine anywhere.
The Hipshot hardware package is real quality stuff, especially the string-through bridge that has adjustable height, intonation AND string spacing. The Ultralite Tuners are solid and I rarely have to adjust it much before a gig.
EMG pickup combination is the not top dollar stuff but as good as you will ever get in that price bracket and sounds just as you would expect from an Active EMG package (all be it a little hard to tame sometimes). Combined with my G&K RB700 Mk II head, I never really want for tone.
The only thing that bothered me with it was that it came badly setup, however that was soon resolved with a few days of gentle tweaking. It now plays low mean and fast |

Not easy in the dark or undr lights. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
