Anyone had any experience with one of these?
I'm looking at getting one within the next few weeks, but its hard to find many reviews on them. I did a quick search as well but I found nothing.
So if you've ever played or owned one, how did you like/dislike it?

Yes, I have two of them. They are in some of my YouTube videos. Relicing isn't the greatest, bit I'm fine with it. Build quality and tone is absolutely top notch. I put Badass bridges on mine, but the stock one is a nice Gotoh. The SD hot pickups are my favorite.

I played one at a local store a couple of times. I agree with JGR... the relic job looks horribly, but they play and sound great.

I'm not too bothered with how the relic job is I read somewhere that is all covered anyway and it would take 30 years just to get a little bit of wear on there by yourself.

JGR, How was the neck? Is it more P bass like or thiner like a J?

Thats the second review I've read that says it's a really nice bass, but not worth the price. Luckily I've found a really good deal on one, so thats not much of an issue for me.

That was one of my main gripes about it! If you're going to put out a "relic" instrument, why would you finish over the relic? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?

If I were to buy a relic'd instrument, I'd want to see and feel bare wood...

I won one a few months ago on ebay. Very nice bass, on a par with MIA Fenders. Pickups/tone are as good as you'll find, and general build quality is great. Agree that the relicing is kinda hokey; they should offer this bass un-reliced. I haven't measured the neck, but it feels somewhere between the typical Jazz & a chunky P-bass width. The downside: kinda expensive at the going rate: US 1499...but if you can find a deal on one you will definitely not be disappointed.
