But the string spacing is listed as "String spacing is 2 1/32" at the bridge and 3/8" at the nut". How does this translate to mm? That just doesn't sound right.

I'm thinking this might be my next bass. If the pickups are the same as the MM in my SX J then it's a 4-wire splittable pup and they sound pretty good! |

Weird that the bridge on the cheaper one looks better, but whatever. He's also changed the description to reflect that. |

| | | | I am taking the plunge and joining the club. I am a lefty and a few weeks ago I bought an old Aria Pro Cardinal CSB450, which is a 32" scale and I love it. I am finding the 32" scale length to be a happy medium between my 34" Fender MIM Jazz bass and my 30" Epi Viola (righty I had set-up for a lefty). Kinda like Goldilocks I'm finding the sounds and the increased ease of playing the 32" just right FOR ME. So I decided to order the SX Ursa 2 medium scale jazz they offer to us lowly lefties - one color choice-red. If the bass is in good shape and only needs a string change and maybe truss rod, action adjustment, then I will do that and sell my the Fender and the Epi. While the Fender may technically be a nicer bass, I know that I won't play it due to the longer scale. Heck since I got the Aria the only time I play it is if I put a capo on the 1st fret so that I'm playing a similar scale length. I have some D'Addario half round strings (45-100) on order as that's what I have on the Aria. After getting over the initial stickiness and hatred of these strings I absolutely love them. They just needed to get played to lose that stickiness and now they are super smooth, with none of the fret noise, and sliding is a breeze. |

| | Give me a blip and I'll totally flip | | Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Columbus, GA | | | I just picked one of these up and it is awesome. I have trouble putting it down. It sounds and plays fantastic. I lowered the strings quite a bit which yielded a bit more mwah, but no hint of fretboard buzz at all. The stock flats sound really good (black silk if that still indicates brand, I hope so, I'd like to get another set). The finish, while far from perfect is actually a really pretty metallic car. The pick guard is 2 ply, a bit rough around the edges, but isn't that noticeable from cat swingin' distance. Did I mention the weight? It's light. 8 to 8.5 on my fickle bath scale. Balance is very good. What more could you want for $129? Tuners that don't buzz? Yeah, that is my only issue- the elephant ears rattle on the E and G tuners. No biggie, they'll get swapped shortly with better ones.
I also bought a $99 SX CAR strat for my son for Christmas, but I can't say anything quite as nice about. It had a number of issues that made it un-gift-worthy, and it is going back.
Both shipped very quick though, and Rondo has been a pleasure to do business with.

There's a Hadean with wooden pickup covers. Sadly it doesn't work with the color.

has the same kind of MM pups as this bass?
The MM in the MM/J is a 4-wire epoxy sealed beaut. Do you think they used the same pups in the Hadean? I'm not getting a response about it from Kurt (who is understandably busy with Christmas orders. |

The soapbar one looks to have more possibilities for future pickup choices as well.

Decided after many a month to buy one of these and it showed up yesterday. It and another guitar sat on my porch for nine hours. Bit scary. Bit of a mess there too with the bike and whatnot. My bad.
Anyone know if this will fit on there? Seems to me like it would, but I'd like to make sure.
