Essex (sx) Fretboard radius a problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
I fell in love playing a fender mustang, and when i thought about it, i think i really fell in love with the feel of playing it. I dont have 743$ (what the store is charging) so i was thinking of buying an SX short scale.

I emailed Kurt, and he told me the radius was 14" (yikes!) the Mustangs are 7.25".

Does anyone have any comments on this?

(How do the sx necks play / feel, and has anyone compared them to a mustang neck ?)

The biggest radius i have played has been 9.5 which i think is standard on fenders, and i have a RW at 7.25.
