European instrument companies?

I couldn't find a way to word this to make a search actually useful.

Besides Warwick, what other guitar / bass companies are based in Europe? Not just the headquarters or whatever, but the actual making of the instruments happens there.

Theyre not based in Europe but spector has some of their models made there. I think Hagstrom is from Sweden but I dont know if they're still around.

OK, so some of these guys are never going to bother Fender in terms of volume, most of them are low volume or custom makers but they build some fine instruments nonetheless

Awesome. I assumed there would be plenty, maybe ones not so known over here. The wife asked me earlier about this and all I could picture was Warwick and Hagstom, and if I hadn't been gassing over a short-scale 8-string a few months ago I likely wouldn't have known the latter. I've seen a few of those before, I guess I didn't know where they came from.

Well, here in Spain there is one manufacturer (almost unknown) from which one of my bandmates bought a guitar. Frankly well done and cute.
