Ever heard about First bass?

If you have been a bass player in Denver for years, you might remember, or even have heard of a bass store named First Bass. they had some sweet instruments, and was even an Alembic dealer! sad that this shop isn't around any more.... Have you guys heard of this store? and what happened to the owner? (thought he went by Hawk...)

Yeah, on Broadway near Alameda, about 5 minutes from my home. They've been gone for years now. Last time I was in there ('98) he had a Travis Bean for $450. I should have grabbed it!

I was there once,
I played an insurance convention in Colorado Springs and was visiting a friend in Denver who took me there. Think this was the late 80's. I bought a no name P bass that he got on a trade in. Probably made from
parts. It was a quality bass that had a DiMarzio model P installed. Couldn't figure out who made it. Sounded great! It was my road/Airline/ travel bass for many years. They sold it to me for $160 including a hard case .
