Ever heard of this bass?

Hi i just got off the phone with my dad. He told me someone is trying to sell him a "braze" bass guitar, he said he didnt really understand him, he said it is something along the lines of "braze" the guy said he would sell the 6 string bass guitar for 200 bucks, cause no one wanted to buy it for his older offer of 500. He got it from the church where he plays, but my dad said the guy doesnt really know much about bass guitar. He didnt have the bass guitar with him when he went to tell my dad so my dad couldnt see the brand or what kind it is. So my question is does anyone know some brands of bass guitars that would go around the name of "braze" and its a 6-String. I want to know what kind it is so i can look it up, i tried searching but i cant find anything.. all i foun was a ken lawrence "Brase" Bass guitar but that costs like 3 Grand, im not sure if thats what it is. Any suggestions>?

Well lets just say it was a Brice... Is it worth $200? I know you dont know the condition its in, but say in good condition, is it worth $200? My dad said the guy was kinda desperate, so i might offer him like $100, if not, then $150 or $175 for that "unknown" 6 String.

Though that's they have in stock now. It varies, as you can see. I don't know if I'd pay $200 for a used Brice, but thats just me.

Hmm thanks, ill see what this bass turns out to be. I wont buy a brice for 200. Maybe 100 bucks sound reasonable? Or what price sounds reasonable for a used brice six string???

I was thinking it was a ibanez too but i have a feeling its a brice bass guitar. He got it from his church so it most likely is. How much would a used brice bass guitar go for?? I dont want to pay 200 for it...

heck yea i would be happy!!! But lets just say there is a 5% its a Ken Lowrence Braise, 85% that its a Brice, and 10% its something else.

Most probably a Brice as You've guessed by now.

There's a bezillion Chinese basses on the market with different "brands". Some come from the same factories, some from different ones. The neck throughs are IMLE good value for ~300€ new, the bolt-on's for 180€ new (mine was 172€ IIRC).



Speaking of misheard /-read brands, I've heard.

Toshiba = Tokai
Fender Lady = Fender Lead I

And of course the ever present pet peeve of mine

Squire = Squier
