Fair trade: Jaguar bass for G3?

Sign in to disble this ad
I love my Jaguar bass, but it's just too much **** to go wrong live. I also have wanted a G3 for years, and I love the neck on my Grabber and the way it plays, so I can't imagine the G3 being a let down aside from the brighter sound (and since the other band needs that, it seems perfect). seem like a fair trade?

I'd just decide if I would rather have the Jaguar or the G3, then in CASE you get the G3 and hate it, check used prices on ebay and make sure you aren't getting killed on resale.

G3s usually go for like 7-800 but there is one up on ebay rigth now for $650 BIN. Looks pretty good. Either way, I'd take the G3 over the Jag any day.

Compared to your grabber the G3 is going to be a lot thinner, certainly wont have the bottom, they're very mid-focused, but it should feel comfortable if you're used to the grabber. The output on the G3 is really low compared to most other passive basses, so watch out for that. Unless it's just mine, but I've seen other people make the same comment so I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on that.

That's the same G3. I am trying to work out a trade with the guy. AKA, no one screw me and buy it first, please.

The other band I'm playing in is looking for a more early Green Day bass sound. I have an M-2000 and this bass would... Well, mean I have the same rig. Over, more mid-range, brighter.
