Not enough info. I can tell you it is a 4 string jazz style bass. What are you trying to find out?

Looks like a MIM Fender Jazz.

What's it supposed to be?

Looks like one of the older MiM basses to me. Have any headstock pics?

No serial, no headstock shot. These are all going to be guesses. Looks like a "possible" MIM Fender jazz from the 90's with those knobs if it is stock.

A fake what? You didn't say what they claim it is, nor how much they want. Plus without better pix nobody is going to be able to really help.

I knew that Fender did that one-piece PG, I just didn't know when or where. Just pointing out clues. That headstock decal looks like a Mexican.

Faking a MIM Fender Jazz is like faking a Ford Escort, they are lower model highly produced items. There isn't any real money in faking it. Even taking an SX and rebranding it with a Fender logo might make you 40-50 bucks. MAYBE.

It's not fake. I had one just like it years ago. It's a 1990s Mexican Fender.

What are 90's MIMs worth? like 250-300? If it's fake, that's a terrible business plan.

I agree with you Fenderhutz, but this is a craigslist thing and there is usually someone on there that will do anything for a buck or two. Thanks for your response.

Yes, it is absolutely a real bass!

If you like it and it's a good deal then get it!
