Fake Sadowsky on the 'Bay... It had to happen sometime...

I'm very sad! He's not trying to pass it off as REAL... but the headstock mod really bugs me.

When I get my Sadowsky, and I will - just missed one this week, I want it to be the real deal. I have a 'Fendowsky' but I would never try to pass it off as anything more than a tribute.

yeah. that's pretty lame, at first I thought "ok" he calls it a sadowsky fender hybrid, but there's absolutely nothing sadowsky about that except the label he stuck on it and the knobs, and those might just be look a likes.

If I were a Sadowsky guy, I'd be much more offended by the following:

Quote:
with the upgrades this bass is as good as any Sadowsky Metro or better than any US Fender at half the price

With the refin and added parts alone, this guy has more than $399 invested in this thing. If he threw the American Standard in the trash when he got it, he'd be better off financially. Worst part is, if he didn't reshape the headstock, he'd probably get a lot more money for it.

other than the corona neck plate I have doubts about it even being a US bass. if he's gonna try to pass it off as a sadowsky hybrid, I wouldn't put it past him to otherwise misrepresent the bass.
