Nice collection man! |
That is a nice looking family! |
^ Except for that bald idiot in the center, right? ;) |
I should show this pic to my wife every time she says I have too many basses! I've only got 5 :) |
1 Attachment(s) These are always to the left of my easy chair in the living room. Attachment 324357 |
My wife only knows about 5-6 of them. And she complains about that many! :hiding: |

Good stuff...especially the Tear Drop. Thanks for posting. |

Nice family! |
2 Attachment(s) Thanks guys! These two (and one more on "consignment") are joining the pack next week: 1990's Epiphone EB1 (this one is minty, thanks brother Denny:bassist:): Attachment 324382 Jay Turser blonde Beatle bass (got them "teacup" knobs aready waiting for it!): Attachment 324383 And THAT'S IT, I've promised myself that I'll cap it at 20 axes. After that, if I want to buy one, I gotta sell (or trade) one. At least that's the plan. We'll see how that turns out! :hmm: |
That is a very impressive collection. I can tell you are fond of all of them. Contrary to what you say about your 20 axe limit, it will be a Sophie's choice when deciding which one to let go of. I don't believe you'd go through with it. You ain't foolin me, man! I actually have a version of 2 of the basses you have there, and HAD a Musicmaster and a Sunburst Precision (not fretless). I'm most curious about how that Coronado II plays and sounds. It looks like I want one! |
Nice! Inspires me to try and get all my stuff together in one building. Maybe this summer... |
Beautiful collection! I especially like the Fiesta Precision and Burgundy Jazz. Don't have to hide basses from my wife...she's actually bought me a couple. ;) |
that blueburst Rick is stunning! |
Thanks guys! I'm really blessed to have such a nice collection. The Ric was love at first sight. It just growls! The Burgundy Jazz is so sweet, it's like that high-school sweetheart we all had at one time or another. Just sweet, sweet love. The Coronado is mellow, deep, just almost double-bass like. It has so much patina, it almost talks to you. The Musicmaster holds a special place in my heart. It's the same year and color as the first bass I ever laid hands on, back in High School. It brings me full circle. Bassdude, you're right man. They are like children. Or as Scott from Birdsong puts it: they are like friends. What do you do when you meet a new person, who is interesting and friendly? Do you tell them, "No, I can't be your friend, I already have enough friends"? You can't, you HAVE to let them into your life. :bassist: |
Got a closeup of the Teardrop? |
