Faulty bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am borrowing a ESP LTD B-254 Bass while my bass is being fixed, works fine with my combo amp, and head and cab

strange thing I noticed it did not work with my Boss tuner when plugged in, and does not work (no sound) when plugged into my guitar delay effects or my Line 6 pod; almost like it doesn't recognize the line signal in these devices

Have you guys heard of this?; I am assuming it is the electronics in the bass, because all the devices have been checked with my guitar and works fine, using same cables as well

The bass wouldnt recognize the signal from whatever device you plug it into. The jack on a bass is an OUTPUT.

Sometimes guitar pedals and what not wont work properly with basses. Aside from that i can only assume theres something up with wiring somewhere with the jack.

Did you accidentally plug into the output rather then the input of those pedals? Otherwise check the battery in them. If your combo amp and head get the signal from the bass, no reason the pedals wouldnt to. Unless their battery has gone dead.

I didnt even think of this (mainly because you said it worked with the guitar) so ill second it and the following.
