Question FBB Custom 32" scale MARBLEWOOD fingerboard, who has my old bass? $1400 !!

I was the original owner, had to sell for financial reasons, alot of sentimental value, I still have the inlayed truss rod cover, (which has my name on it)
Koa top
custom zebra/Koa knobs
marblewood board
stagg guitar gigbag
it sold for $650(last thread I saw)
offering up to $1400 paypal
( my entire checking acct balance!)
(I paid $1250 for her brand new from FBB, to give u an idea of how much I love her)
hoping the new owner will make a fair price.
willing to pay minimum of $1k.. Max of $1400,if need be.
..or if in NYC area..cash.
Any info on her?

I have back issues, and the weight of my Bongo, plus cables, effects kills my back,
( in a gigbag!)so the fbb saves the day when I can't deal w the weight.

She's got plenty of dings, scratches and player's wear, but I'm still willing to pay more almost double what she sold for here. Lots of sentimental value, I never should have parted with her. Willing to buy you a dream bass, Or pay up to $1400..if I have to, hoping the new owner will be cool and give me a decent price.
But I'd like to offer at least $1k
(I'm a horrible negotiator!)

If u bought or sold her, please let me know any info u may have?..
It would be greatly, greatly appreciated.I was at a financial hole at the time
and I really need the lt weight, shorter scale bass. It's hard to replace. Thanx!

Is this the bass you are looking for? If it is, maybe you can P.M. whoever sold it and track it down...I bumped the thread to put it at the forefront of that forum.

Well I am guessing the financial issue is now resolved, so congrats on that. Good luck with your search. I know where you are coming from with wanting an old bass back. This is one of the few places where you might actually be able to pull it off.

I sorta know what you're going through Kevin .... Although I've never owned it, I've been chasing down this bass for 3 years now .....

.... tracked it to Europe and still searching for it

I'll keep my eyes out for your old axe, I get a lot of contacts about FBB basses .....

Or, hasn't responded yet...hopefully he/she sees the emotion involved here and does the right thing.

I don't know, I've been thinking about that,
I willingly let it go, and just as I became attatched to it, another player may also really love or depend on this bass

he bought it fair and square, With no knowledge of me, or my sob story, with his hard earned dough,Maybe he's really attatched to this instrument.
doesn't he deserve it just as much ?

I could have sold my other bass at the time, or another peice of gear, I also had a nice Boss digital studio at the time..and a Sadowsky Metro. I was pretty light in the bank account, but not exactly poverty stricken.
I have 4 basses and 2 guitars,Enough to keep me happy.
if someone is enjoying her, that's ok. I'm hoping they might want to try something new, or maybe it's not getting played.. Otherwise, I'm ok with it being played and enjoyed.

I just bought a new Warwick, so I'm going to explore it's tones for a while,
and bump this thread every now and then.

Basses have a way if "circulating" on TB, she'll return to me, or for slightly more, I'll have Matt build me another one when the time is right.

Footnote: I found the new owner!
Thank u TB'ers!

I still havnt gotten her back, I'm willing to spend up to $1400 on her, but since she sold for $650, and new cost was $1250, I'm hoping an offer of $1k will seem fair.. If the new owner thinks he wNts more, I can offer as much as $1400..hoping we can negotiate!

VERY cool of u!

This thread is proof that if one owns an FBB Bassworks bass and unloads it, it will be missed enough that a search for it will ensue.

Yes the new owner offered it back to me, he is a gentleman, and very cool..
But I'm on hiatus now, took a year off to raise my new son, so my money is going to baby furniture , his clothes, college fund, and my priorities have shifted.

my Roscoe L2000 bolt-on is my main bass now.. but I spend more time on my Martin flat top playing & singing the "Elmo's World" theme for him these days!.. My 1 yr old son loves to strum my bass though,
he's hot that flamenco fanning technique down!

the FBB is still something I'd love to play again, but at this point I'd have Matt build me another one, w some changes..
I think Matt has also evolved in his skills too.. Love to get a version of it, bolt on w same woods and neck, shape.. Higher mass body maybe..
