FBD (First Bass Day) P-Bass Clone

So I finally got my first bass.
It's a "Mahar" P-Bass copy, from what I have found on Google it is a cheap Chinese company.
It's a POS but I don't care because I have something to practice on.
On the negative side the frets aren't level, and the fret ends are sharp.
On the positive side though, the neck is comfy and it sounds good (enough)
So anyway, I'm off to teach myself to play
But first, No pics no bass right?

How it came

After my sister drew on it

Obligatory artsy picture of the headstock

And the old amp I'm borrowing until I can get my own (might decide to get a new bass first)

From similar beginnings, a whole lot of great music has come to be.

Find a reputable and reasonably priced tech to help you tweak that axe into optimal playing condition. I know several good techs in my area who would level frets, remove fret sprout, and do a thorough set up for around $75.00. I know you probably didn't pay much more than that for the bass, but it's a great investment nonetheless.

Congrats. Enjoy.

I didn't even think about it before
But I was playing my girlfriend's dad's bass and the frets seemed farther apart so I measured my bass.
And it's a short scale, 32", Interesting.
