I'm looking at a used "relic" CS RI. The asking price is $2000. Seems a bit steep, but I know the new ones go for $3500 or so.
It is an incredible bass. What to do? If the price is not THAT unreasonable, I may go for it. Opinions wanted-I think its too much money, but I love the damn thing-been there before, right?

Great basses, I love mine but might eventually sell it on as I have an equally great '66 that does the same thing. |

| | | | I was able to get two brand new CS Jazzes for around 2000 each about two years ago but the CS prices seem to be climbing higher and higher. I'd say 2000 for a used one now is not overly high or a great price.
