Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone...I've just scored an almost flawless used Fender 24 fret Jazz Bass at get this...Guitar Center for $350!!! To me its a steal. They sell Squier basses at this price. Very solid great sounding bass. So my question is who out there owns this lovely bass??? Has anyone modified theirs???

I want one really bad. Only mod I might make is to just switch it over to passive.

IMO they are decent and I am a Fender fan. I ran into them many times thru the years for great prices and wanted to like them but couldnt..dont like the preamp or tone but thats me.

Yea its a pretty solid bass. After playing with the bass, I agree that the weak factor in this bass is its preamp. its workable, but there's better out there you can get a upgrade. Maybe down the line ill get a Bartolini preamp and pickups put in, but it sounds good. First time ive played Seymour Duncans and they sound ok.
