Fender 5? Or is it?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fender-Ja...item4abe418118

Check out the bass at the attached link. The seller claims it's a Fender but I've never seen anything like it. It's a weird one all right. Is it a fake or am I looking at some Fender 5 model I've never seen before? Sellers on ebay who keyword bomb always make me a wary fellow.

I'm more curious to know what this is than I am interested in making a purchase. I'm a bit OCD about other people's damage and that is a mighty dint in the tailpiece.

Fender Jazz Bass 24. Legit.

Edit: read the description and noted the "factory Line 6 pickups" which is a crock. Bass itself still looks legit and the seller just may have no clue regarding the pickups in it (look like SD Basslines on my phone).

- Original Line 6 pickups
- Seemingly quilted maple laminate
- Wonky Fender decal
- MIK Fender
- Very un-fenderlike control layout
Looks like you've got yourself somewhat of a doozy there. Might be an '80s model, but I'm not sure.
