Anyone looking for a cheap P bass these things are Sleepers.Just picked one up and in my opinion I like it better than any of the USA P Bass. They hit the nail on the head with the feel of the neck shape on it.Feel just like 60,s neck shape to me.One thing I may consider at some time it putting a Lindy Fralin PUP in it but am going to play longer before I may do that.In my opinion these 60 Vibes and the Road worns are more true to old ones as there reissue line! |

I like 'em. The fact that they're cheap Squiers somehow makes them even cooler to me. I don't know quite why that is, and it's mainly true for the Precision, not so much for the Jazz. Somehow the CV Precision has established itself in my mind as a true P in an authentic blue-collar kind of way, rather than just a knockoff. |

I played my 60's at a band practice last week and it sounded and played GREAT. Way better than me, though :-(....The other guys liked the sound a lot....mine has GHS flats and I like it just as it is. I love the neck. I had an MIA Deluxe P which was a really nice bass but I like the neck on this one better....

And a big +1 on the GHS Flats for a precision. These strings don't seem to get the time in the "spotlight" that they deserve.
Congratulations on your new CVs! Squier Classic Vibe Club

Congratulations on your new CVs! Squier Classic Vibe Club | I just got one from a fellow TBer. Great bass.
+1 on the GHS Flats. I have them on a 50s P and dig it. (The 60s CV has Chromes and sounds pretty good too!)

I just found out about and hour ago... my drummer just bought a squier classic 50's vibe, BASS and STRAT for under $500!! Our guitarist has already approved... to the point that he want's one himself! I'm due for a trial run on the bass at 8 o'clock tomorrow night.
From what I hear, this entire 'vintage squier' line is off the chain regarding their price/quality ratio..... Sleeping Beauties.

| | | | They are amazing basses for the price, and the ridiculous thing is where I live people won't buy them because they have Squier on the headstock. Ugh!

It would feel better with a satin neck and a seymour Duncan Pup... but other than that, the bass was resonant and very well built. I'm thinking about picking up a 60's P or J like these ones... they are super cool and a price you cant beat! |
