| | | | Fender 60th anniversary P bass discontinued? I don't see it on the Fender site so i assume it's discontinued. Anyone know when this came about? Now I am thinking maybe I shoud hang on to the one I have posted in the classifieds

But (and I am just guessing here) they probably kept it up there until they sold through the ones they had made (or most dealers sold through the ones they had in stock). But it wouldn't make much sense to make an anniversary bass during any year other than the anniversary year. But that's just my trying to inject logic into the conversation.

Fender has been doing this a lot since 2009.
Short runs of instruments, for one year.
It is an incentive to buy one fast before they are gone. |
