Fender Aerodyne AJB-V Five String

I've wanted to buy a Fender Aerodyne ever since they were introduced, but didn't because they weren't offered as a 5-string.

Fender Japan is now making the Aerodyne as a 5-string for their market. It's only available in Black but looks great IMO. Ishibishi sells them through their website delivered to North America for $1400.00 which is not bad.

I hope that Fender USA jumps back on the band wagon and offers the AJB-V here and if they do, i'll buy one right away.

They look sweet.
They have been out for a while.
Ishibishi is great to deal with. I got my non export Aero Jazz from them a couple years back.

Wonder why they chose to go J/J and not P/J?

Looks sharp, though.

That's the way the non export ones are, real Jazz basses with a pick guard and control plate.

I ordered mine because I wanted a Jazz bass Aerodyne

Until the other day, I wasn't aware that this version of Aerodyne JB's even existed. I've bought from Ishibishi before and they were great to deal with, but i'm really hoping that Fender USA picks up the AJB-V and markets it here. Guess i'll have to wait until NAMM to find out if they do.
