| "FSR" simply means "Factory Special Run". That means a big dealer, or a consortium of dealers, or a group of fans approached the factory and committed to buying a specific number of instruments with some specific combination of stock features. They could be anything. There was an FSR or MIM Tele Thinline guitars that were stock Tele Thinlines except they were available in Surf Green and Candy Apple Red which a local dealer bought through their dealer group. At one time a LONG time ago there was an FSR of a Telecaster guitar for the Fender Discussion Page. It's similar to what the Lakland Owners Group does for their "LOG Basses"- the spec out what they want within the paramters of what the company is willing/able to do for a price point, and they get something that the company doesn't normally offer.
So, it could be a color they spray but don't offer as a stock item on a particular model, or say an American Standard Jazz body with an American Standard P neck, etc. It likely won't be anything exotic that requires special machining or manufacturing.
