fender bass identification help.

Sign in to disble this ad
I've recently come into possession of a Fender Jazz Bass, but am having a very difficult time finding any information on the darn thing. I don't play, so my knowledge is pretty limited on the subject. It has a small "special edition" sticker on the back up by the tuning keys. Serial number: MZ3181504.

Any info on this bass, or direction to somewhere online that might, would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like a foto-flame model bass, but I thought those were only made in Japan.
