| I Have it. It's a good read, tons of neato pictures, etc.
IMO, Balmer does a good job of running down the info on most of the basic Fender bass models (and a few Squiers), both technologically and historical. He has sections on history, setup and tuning, buying advice, repairs, maintenance and adjustments, specific case studies, where he takes about 17 different models ranging from a vintage '53 P-bass up to a new Squier fretless, examining and in some cases adjusting and repairing them in detail. The appendices have a good deal of useful info also . I give it a "thumbs up".
