| Fender Blacktop Jazz Bass vs. Used Fender Jaguar Bass

Hi, I am planning to purchase a new bass and I have the option between a brand new fender blacktop jazz bass or a used fender jaguar bass. My style varies from hardcore to punk, to indie, as well as jazz on occasion. The jazz bass goes for 500 brand new, the jaguar bass goes for about 600 used. What are your thoughts?
