I just bought it online through guitar center, and I was wondering if white pearl chrome is white or silver?

Might be an optical illusion - but is that body particularly thinner than normal?

Just an illusion. The paint is silver in some light and almost white in other lights. Lots of pearl and sparkles tho

I played the P bass last week and it's definitely silver. Not as light as something like Blizzard Pearl.

It's pretty, kinda reminds me of the early version of Fender's Blizzard Pearl, before it turned "gray."

Those look freaking awesome! Two P-bass pickups really look good on that jazz body but is it a mexican fender? I can't see myself ever buying one of those when the japanese models are made with total attention to detail and cost about the same.

Did you get it yet? I tried out, both P and J - I liked the P better. The J was ok, but it didn't really make me all GASsy. The sound of the P pickup at the bridge was weird. Sounded a bit hollow. The P with the double J pickups sounded quite good.

It arrives tomorrow night. I also thought that the p-bass was looking cooler but the body just isnt a Jazz bass .

Im going to replace the bridge pickup with a single jazz and leave the neck pickup on. One problem I have with the p bass is that the humbuckers aren't very defined they can give this kinda muffled sound, other than that its also pretty cool.

I was going to buy a standard Jazz in "White Chrome Pearl"; saw one in Sam Ash today- it looks way "pearlier" than blizzard, more silver, less white. Kind of a "satin" sheen, not really glossy like regular paint. I didn't care for it, but I'm sure some people will love it.

No, that's the whole point of the Blacktop line, for people who like one body style but want different electronics.
