...? | Yes but these 70's Classics do not have standard MiM Keys. They have the Vintage Reissue set or the Hipshot HB-2 equivalent hence the BT-2 D-Tuner. If you look closely you'll see the keys on our 70's classics are larger than the standard MiMs.

Does the neck plate on the back have the Fender "F" on it?
There is one for sale around here but there's no "F" on the neck plate. |

These Classic 70's are so nice that a plain neck plate looks out of place. The 70's theme is so well represented Fender should have included one.

Spent about two hours a/b numerous old and new basses. This spoke out for sure. And the plus? Got it for $449.00 plus tax. I went ahead and did a setup, and switched the bridge out for a B.A. I had. The body is from a Fender Classic 70's Jazz bass and the neck is off of a new Fender Antigua Jazz Bass (70's type neck but with dots instead of blocks). |

Pickguard issues come up often enough in this thread. Maybe grab a beer and cruise the responses.

I went to basspartsresource.com and had to go with the "after market" B/W/B because the only Fender-made options were either not available in black or had the truss rod notch at the heel. The guard I bought, attached, doesn't fit.
Anyway, if anyone knows where to get a B/W/B guard that will fit this bass let me know.
Or if one of you kind "Sunburst & Tort" gentlemen wanna sell me your unused black guard I would much appreciate it.
The bass is smokin', by the way! Most resonant bass I've ever owned. I could not be happier with it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
