I came across a few of these on ebay, They seems to be a P-Bass, early 50's pickguard and active P-J pick ups, MIM.

Anyone have one ? How is the quality ? Tone ?

I was looking at picking up a new Schecter Model T before I found these before I found the Fender.

People seem to like them, except for the preamp. I've seen some around $300, which seems like a deal. Search with cowpoke as one word.

Oh - I used to live in Bethany, CT. People always got our towns mixed up.

I've read that the pre-amp is pretty bright which isnt really a big deal to me as long as the bass is a good foundation. I see them for about $400 on ebay which is $200 cheaper then the new Schecter, leaves me some play money.

Bethany in Northern Ct right ?
