Fender CS nitro neck?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I just got a very cool AV 62 P bass with a 97 Custom Shop maple board neck. The AV body is nitro Fiesta Red, how can I tell if the neck is poly or nitro? I do not know the original source of the neck. It isn't a vintage tint but the vintage reverse tuners have been relic'd, the finish is just clear gloss. It has a little spot that lifted off and I want to touch it up but don't want to use the wrong stuff. Idears?

Smell it. Does it smell like the body?
